About the Board

The ACOVENE board is drawn from experienced veterinary and veterinary nursing practitioners and educators.  The Board represents the interests of veterinary employers, nurses and educational establishments and is responsible for:

  • Setting and reviewing standards of “day one competency” for gradates of accredited program
  • Setting and reviewing criteria for the accreditation of a programme
  • Arranging the visitation of applicant schools and their periodic monitoring
  • Receiving self evaluation and visitation reports
  • Determining the accreditation status of programmes
